Captain Adrian Cushwa
Adrian Cushwa sails as the captain of M/Y Andiamo and regularly assists with other vessels in the fleet. Originally from western Massachusetts, Adrian has always been drawn to the water. He has over ten years of sailing experience and has worked and lived on a variety of sailboats as well as managed sailing centers in the Northeast. Prior to joining Fleet Miami, Adrian worked for a busy yacht charter company in South Florida, giving him expert knowledge of the area so that guests will experience the best that Miami has to offer. He also has been a wakeboard and waterskiing instructor and is the perfect person to take guests out for a fun-filled day of watersports.
Adrian's calm demeanor and friendly personality make him a great captain, and it is evident that he genuinely loves working on the water. Capt. Adrian feels lucky to be a part of such a dynamic industry and is eager to share his enthusiasm with guests and crew.
Qualifications: 100 Ton USCG Master License with Sailing Endorsement, B.S. in Human Sciences from Florida State University
Mate Stephanie Sykora
Stephanie sails as Mate aboard M/Y Andiamo where her positive attitude and sunny personality brighten the days of guests and crew alike. A native of Charleston, SC (famous for its southern hospitality), she developed a deep connection to the boating community from an early age. Stephanie has a strong background in sailing, teaching in various yacht clubs from Charleston to the Caribbean, co-founding and competing with the College of Charleston Club Sailing Team, and even participating in a 'Round the World Voyage' during a Semester at Sea. Her sailing experience enabled her to teach and interact with guests of all ages and help them to enjoy the beauty of the ocean. Stephanie has ambitious goals for a long yachting career and hopes to obtain a captain's position in the future.
Stephanie looks forward to the opportunity to introduce guests to her favorite activities: wake boarding, kiteboarding, and snorkeling. A true natural around the water, Stephanie is a joy to have onboard.
Qualifications: Masters 50 ton (USCG), Auxiliary Sailing Endorsement, PADI Open Water Diver, Certified Lifeguard, B.A. in Business Administration, Hospitality & Tourism, and Studio Art (College of Charleston, 2015).
Chief Stewardess Megan Seward
Megan Seward sails as Stewardess aboard M/Y Andiamo. Originally from Great Barrington, Massachusetts, this New Englander has definitely taken to life in Miami. Since graduating from University of Massachusetts in 2014, Megan has been in the fitness industry. She previously worked in her hometown as a personal trainer and continued to help people reach their fitness goals by working at Equinox Brickell for the last 2.5 years. Her move to Miami introduced her to the yachting industry, and she even lived on a sailboat for her first year in South Florida. Megan feels like she has found her ideal position as yacht stewardess, as she has always loved being a hostess and entertaining. As she puts it, she loves "the flowers, food, and making sure people are having a good time. Being on the water is a plus; everyone's happier on the water!"
With her friendly personality and positive attitude, Megan is a perfect fit for Andiamo; particularly with her talent in floral arranging, which she loves to put to good use while yachting. When she isn't working, Megan can be found playing beach volleyball, reading, practicing yoga, and enjoying all of the food, fun, and sunshine that Miami has to offer.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology (University of Massachusetts, Amherst); Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM).
