MIchael O'Connor - Chef
My first Chef job on a yacht was in 1989 based out of Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Since then I have been fortunate to move on to larger yachts up to 185 feet and travel extensively. In my 28 year career of cooking on yachts I have done over a hundred term charters. These seven hundred days of charter have taken me through the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Eastern and Western U.S. Seaboard and the entire South American coastline. There were also trips to Tahiti and Taiwan.
With these travels I have been able to learn and sample many different cuisines from around the world and appreciate their differences and similarities. I feel very lucky to have cooked for two U.S. Presidents, dignitaries, celebrities and of course friends and family. Whether cooking for a President or my Mother, my real joy is having people enjoy my craft.
*** Chef MIchael O'Connor is provided for charters of 4 nights or longer***
