Captain, Richard Overstreeet

Hailing from a long line of Captains, Ric Overstreet has spent most of his young and adult life on the water. His father is a 1600-ton Master/4000 Designated Duty Engineer, his grandfather was a Chief Engineer unlimited. Is was only natural that he followed in their footsteps. He won his first bill fishing tournament at the age of 13 on his father’s 46’ Bertram Playpen II and acquired his 100-ton license at the age of 21. He graduated from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1994 in Business Management, continued his love of bill fishing all over the world including Mexico, Bahamas, Costa Rica and the Gulf Coast the 80” Breaux Sport Fisher Miss Celeste. He also worked winters on commercial dive boats as well as 100-meter supply boats in Singapore, Africa, Mexico and the Gulf Coast. At age 26 he upgraded his Captain’s license to a 1600 ton/3000 Master of Oceans with Dynamic Positioning Unlimited. He continued his career as a captain on many different yachts all over the Caribbean. He is an avid diver and fisherman and this along with his knowledge of the water and southern hospitality never fails to make a vacation aboard Serque perfect.

Anchen grew up in sunny Grahamstown, South Africa. Growing up in a small town and farming community, she has a great love for wild animals and the outdoors. She has a degree in International Hotel Management with more than 10 years’ experience behind her. Managing hotels in and around Cape Town fed her passion for travelling and what better way to see the world and put her skills to good use than yachting. She takes great care and pride in ensuring that her guests are well attended to and have a sensational and memorable experience while onboard M/Y Serque.

2nd Stewardess, Alyssa Desmarais

Alyssa joins M/Y Serqué from rural Connecticut, where her family owned a sailboat. After graduating college at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI, Alyssa moved to Los Angeles, working in concierge services and events for a real estate company. First Mate, Andrew van der Linde

When Andre joined the Serqué team he has been nothing short of a well skilled bosun on our decks. Andre grew up in Langebaan along the West Coast of South Africa. If you want to talk about sailing, Andre is the guy. He will tell you about all his Catamaran deliveries and crossing the Atlantic Ocean not once, not twice, but three times. Before we scouted Andre, he was a sail instructor in Cape Town, South Africa but had a passion to work with people and embarked on the yachting industry. If you choose to fill your day with fun water sport fun, Andre is just a whistle away and ready to entertain you in the cooling waters under the sun.

Deckhand, Jacques Kotzee

Jacques recently joined the Serqué team and has a great enthusiasm for yachting and being on the water working with guests. Jacques also grew up in Langebaan, South Africa. Jacques’ childhood was surrounded by sailing boats, surfing and wake boarding along the beautiful West Coast waters of South Africa, so being on the water is no new feat for him. Having worked in the service industry at the local Sailing Resort, Club Mykonos in South Africa, Jacques can even flare a cocktail or two if the desire strikes. We are so excited to have Jacques apart of the Serqué team to entertain and tend to all your needs on our decks and on the water.
