Captain Akis was born and raised in Patra, Greece in 1985. His passion for the sea since the very young years of his life. Akis in addition to his Captain’s Class b Diploma, holds also many other certifications, such as RO-RO passengers’ certifications and Medical Care/Fire Fighting certifications. Before becoming captain of M/Y Polar Star on the present day, he was a captain for Motor Yachts, MY TOY, MAGNA GRECIA,AQUA LIBRA, COSMAS. When not on charter, you will find Akis travelling, reading, listening to music, sailing and swimming. Konstantinos speaks English fluently and has good knowledge of PC.
Chef - Konstantinos Theodoros Merianos
Chef Konstantinos was born in Athens, in 1983. What began as a hobby in his childhood, eventually became his dream goals, graduating Chef D’ Oeuvre in professional cookery in 2003.His occupation on several luxury hotels both abroad and in Greece gave him a vast cuisine knowledge and made him capable of preparing all kind of delicious meals covering any appetite or taste. He joined the yacht industry in 2014 working as Executive Chef for Camelia. Before joining as Chef for M/Y Polar Star, he was occupied in many yachts such as, M/Y Darling, M/Y Toy, Nitta V, Rini and Armonia. When not cooking, Konstantinos enjoys reading, travelling and watching movies. Konstantinos speaks English, French and has a very good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Stewardess : Samantha Kremitzaki
Samantha has been working in the yacht industry for the past 3 year, She has learned to work hard for high profile guests with high demands and is a determined person that is honest, productive, energetic, creative and a team player. She interacts well with people, take pride in her job and has a good eye in detail. She worked in the luxurious yacht Sole di Mare, Sapphire, Mia Zoi, Pobeda and Ocean Drive and she is very experienced in silver
service.
Chief Engineer - Andrew Kapralos
Andrew was born in Athens, in 1977 and holds a chief engineer certification. Andrew worked on many passenger and commercial ships as a 3rd and 2nd engineer during the first years of his career. He became a chief engineer in 2009 for Motor Yacht Tropicana, following with M/Y Epipleon, M/Y Bonito, M/Y Argo, M/Y Amor, M/Y Iris and M/Y Princess before joining M/Y Polar Star. Andrew’s primary concern is the safety of all the people on board, both the crew and the charter party and his great experience has given him the tools to make that possible. Andrew speaks English and has good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Deckhand/Sailor - Konstantinos Lagoudis
Konstantinos was born in Greece, in 1986 and started his career in luxury yachts since 2009. His working experience includes many luxurious yachts like Camellia II, Wave runner, Blue Angel, Toy-A. Konstantinos has a great sense of professionalism and always strives to give the best possible charter experience to the people on board. In his free time, Konstantinos enjoys playing basketball, football, visiting the gym and doing water sports. Konstantinos speaks English, has a high speedboat diploma and good knowledge of PC.
