Luca Pignatelli

Sail and work experience
Luca worked as tourist guide, excursion organiser and skipper on board his own yacht and a number of private yachts from 2014 – 2016. He then moved on to preparing and working aboard charter yachts on the Italian Coast. Luca soon graduated to deckhand aboard 74ft S/Y BLUE DEER, performing a vast range of roles from driving the tender to performing important maintenance, he also gained experience of an Atlantic crossing aboard the yacht. His most recent venture has been as first mate aboard 74ft S/CAT LUCY Z, where again he had plenty to keep his hands full, he even taught some wakeboarding. Now he finds himself aboard SUENO as an enthusiastic captain with a wealth of sailing and chartering experience. He speaks Italian, some English and some Spanish.
Job description
As Captain the overall running of the vessel is Luca’s responsibility; this includes the navigation, safety and experience of all onboard. He ensures that SUENO runs smoothly
and efficiently whilst adhering to all the appropriate regulations.

Ivan Ghidoni
First Mate Italian – 43
Sail and work experience
Ivan has had experience of every part of yacht chartering, having both managed and completed charters. He has performed almost all the roles needed on board, from skippering to working in the galley. Extensive yacht maintenance and construction experience mean that Ivan is ready to deal with anything that SUENO throws at him.
He’s cruised in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean on both sailing and motor yachts. Ivan has competed in a number of regattas. He now finds himself aboard SUENO as
an experienced crew member with a wealth of varied sailing and customer service experience.
Job description
Ivan holds the ability to stand in for the Captain in his absence, acting as second in command. Assists the Captain in navigation and participates in deck operations and organizes guest activities. Possesses extensive maintenance knowledge and is responsible for the running and maintenance of deck equipment. Seeks out, identifies and solves technical problems before they escalate. When guests are on board, he ensures that they are properly cared for and that all requirements are met. Offers a particular attention to details and a polite and entertaining spirit.
