Captain Yiannis was born in 1978 in Athens and holds a bachelor degree in Shipping. Since a very young age he started sailing and participated in several national and European sailing races. He holds a Captain’s and a speedboat license and all the necessary certificates for his position. Yiannis has an extensive charter yacht experience in the Mediterranean and also in shipyard and maintenance works with good skills in engines and electronics. He has worked as a captain on board various sailing and motor yachts and joined the team of Catherine in 2019. As Yiannis has spent most of his life at sea, he makes sure guests will have an unforgettable experience and memories from the Greek islands. He has excellent communication and social skills and speaks fluent English.
Chef – Christina Lempesi (Greek)
Christina was born in Athens, Greece. She holds a Chef’s diploma from “Chef D’ Oeuvre” and she has an extensive experience in international cuisines and worked in various luxury hotels and restaurants in Greece like Pleiades Restaurant, Vive Mar, and Aldemar Rhodes Hotel. Christina loves the Mediterranean cuisine and she is an expert in combining elements of the Greek cuisine with culinary traditions that originate from different countries, regions and cultures. She speaks fluent English and in her free time he enjoys music and travelling.
Stewardess – Tetyana Yelken (Ukraine)
Tetyana was born in 1984 and she is Ukraine. Tetyana graduated from the National University of Culture and Art in Kiev and holds a degree in Management of International Tourism (MIT). She also holds STCW 95, ENG1, PYA Yacht Interior International Service, PYA Wine & Cocktail, Service, PYA Yacht Intermediate Housekeeping, Florist Masterclass. With previous experience as a VIP concierge and Guide in Turkey she decided to move to the yachting industry in 2014 onboard Let It Be M. Tetyana joined Catherine this year and she is an asset to the crew and proves it with her impeccable skills and the determination for complete customer satisfaction. She speaks fluent English, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian and basic German. She enjoys travelling, reading and learning languages!
Engineer / Deckhand - Kumara Amarasekara (Sri Lankier)
Kumara was born in 1975 and grew up in Sri Lanka. He has graduated as an Officer from the Navy Marine Academy of Sri Lanka. Kumara has been in the yachting industry for over 20 years and his experience and knowledge ensures the smooth operation of the yacht and her services. Kumara is available at all times to deal with engineering issues and also spends time in deck activities and water sports. Kumara has completed all safety training and is a master in water sports. He offers his services on Catherine the last four years and he has become a valuable member of her team. Kumara enjoys waters sports and swimming and he speaks Greek, French and English.
