MATE: Danko Maric - Montenegrin

By school leaving age his direction was clear and he signed up to the engineering school of Zadar where he completed a welding and metal processing diploma with great success.
With this qualification under his belt, he landed a great job in a local shipyard, servicing yachts and all the while learning new skills. It wasn’t long before he felt the call of the sea, so he took the first step by working on a cruise ship which took him all over the world and had him mix with people of all nationalities.
In 2011 he joined his fist yacht, M/Y Hellena, and he literally hasn’t looked back! Enthusiastic, considerate and with a fantastic sense of humour. Danko is the perfect first mate among this strong crew.
