Sail and work experience
Lucas began sailing with his parents when he was a child. He enjoyed it so much that he decided to make his passion into a profession. He soon gained his qualifications and
began working on DJANGO TOO as a first mate in 2011. Since then he has worked both as captain and deckhand on a number of yachts including the 183ft ketch MARI – CHA III, 115 ft SWIFT and a number of Lagoon catamarans. His career is interspersed with spells on DJANGO TOO and he now finds himself at the helm of a yacht he knows inside out. His qualifications and experience in yacht maintenance along with a passion for sailing make him the perfect captain. He has completed a number of races, such as the Rolex Cup (aboard DJANGO TOO) and the J80 World Championship.
Job description
As Captain the overall running of the vessel is Lucas’ responsibility; this includes the
navigation, safety and experience of all onboard. He ensures that DJANGO TOO runs
smoothly and efficiently whilst adhering to all the appropriate regulations.

Margot Lederer
First Mate FRENCH – 32
Sail and work experience
Margot has had an unusual route into the sailing world, beginning her career as an osteopath in La Rochelle. Since deciding to pursue a career in sailing she has worked
as a deckhand, stewardess and cook on a number of yachts including many Lagoon catamarans (alongside Lucas). She’s also worked on the 105ft VITA DOLCE and the 82ft
sloop ATAO. Her experience with Lucas mean that they are the perfect team, working together to ensure that their charters run smoothly and providing the best guest
experience possible.
Job description
Responsible for organization, management and cleanliness of all interiors. She maintains an accurate inventory of all service items and supplies. She ensures cleaning and
preparation of the vessel to the highest standards prior to any and all guest trips. In charge of vessel provisioning for both guests and crew, and all aspects of daily life. She
offers a particular attention to details and a polite and entertaining spirit. Thanks to her sailing capability, she can assist on deck during navigation. She is responsible for the
management of the deck as well as any watersports activities.
